JAMB Cut Off Marks for 2025 Admission

JAMB has defined 150 as the cutoff mark for university admission. The board also set 100 as the minimum cut-off point for admission to polytechnics and colleges of education, while admission to the College of Nursing Sciences was set at 140. JAMB Registrar, Prof. Isaac Oloyede, made the announcement at the JAMB 2025 Policy Meeting in Abuja on Tuesday.

Candidates should note that the above cut off marks are JAMB minimum marks. This simply means that institutions are free to set their cut-off marks above the minimum cut-off marks set by JAMB, but cannot set their cut-off marks below the minimum cut-off marks.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Education Tunji Alaussa, vice rectors, rectors and registrars of higher institutions and other stakeholders.

During the meeting, it was also reiterated that the age limit for tertiary institutions in Nigeria remains 16 years.

With the announcement of cut-off marks, most government tertiary institutions have started selling Post-UTME screening forms in earnest. Candidates should stay tuned for such announcements and updates.
